Bowdon and parts of Hale sit in conservation areas, so design, brick and roof materials matter to Trafford's planners as much as to the client.
We build these as a single programme: demolition and groundworks, structure, roof, services, then the finish, with the same person pricing the job and running the site. Our recent new build in Knutsford took an empty plot to a finished brick and flint family home for around £400,000.

In 2026 a new home costs £2,000–£2,600 per square metre at a good standard, £2,600–£3,800 at high specification and £3,800–£5,500+ for exceptional finishes, before VAT, land and fees. A 250 sq m house at high specification is roughly £650,000–£950,000 to build.
Often, yes. A replacement dwelling needs planning permission from Trafford Council, and in Bowdon and the Hale conservation areas the design will be judged against the character of the street. We'll look at the plot and tell you honestly what's likely before you spend on drawings.
